GOLF COURSE ~ There is an 18 hole golf course adjoining the Desert River Inn restaurant, motel and conference center. The Golf course has a Pro-Shop, Club House and cart rental is available. A separate driving range is located ½ mile east of Desert River Inn on Highway 730.  Pro-Shop 541-922-3006.

FISHING & HUNTING ~ Umatilla has great fishing all year 'round. You'll find the largest walleye in the world, bass, salmon, sturgeon, steelhead, shad, and panfish in the Columbia River at Umatilla. Umatilla has a full service marina and RV park. Hunting for both small and big game is available nearby. We have many amenities for hunters, including a bird cleaning facility .

PACIFIC SALMON VISITOR INFO CENTER ~ Housed in the juvenile salmon bypass and transportation facility at McNARY LOCK & DAM. You can learn about the life cycle of the salmon and the struggle to ensure their survival with computer exhibits and videos. There are fish viewing windows, tours of the powerhouse, and wonderful nature trails where you can see a variety of wildlife. For more information call 541-922-4388.

WATER SPORTS ~ The Columbia River has plenty of room for swimming, boating, water-skiing, personal watercraft and any other water sports to meet your interests. You can enjoy warm weather in Umatilla most of the year. It's a wonderful place to enjoy the river!
